    Wild Orange

Wild Orange is most commonly used for digestive and immune support, as well as skin health. (You do need to be careful with topical use on the skin though, since it can make you photosensitive.) Of all its uses, the emotional impact it has on the mind and heart are probably the most popular.

Primary Benefits

Powerful cleanser and purifying agent

Protects against seasonal and environmental threats

High in antioxidants, which are essential to overall health

Uplifting to the mind and body

Emotional Benefits

Energetically, wild orange is very uplifting to the mind and emotions. This can translate to an increase in physical energy, or an elevated mood. It's often said to be an oil of abundance, or possibility - opening a person's mind and heart to the potential that surrounds them, and their ability to accept the goodness Life is offering.

This can affect a person on many levels, from helping you to release patterns of scarcity, money blocks, fear, and "not enough-ness", to stimulating your creativity, vision, and widening your perspective. It can also help a person tap into their own playfulness and sense of humor, so that challenges can be approached without the heaviness that often impacts our ability to navigate them. And it helps you tap into your authentic self, and come to learn that you are, in fact, "enough".

Body Systems Affected

Digestive and Immune Systems, Emotional Balance, Skin.

Complimentary Oils

Wild Orange blends well with Cinnamon, Frankincense, Geranium, Lavender, and other citrus oils.

Precautions of Wild Orange Essential Oil

As with any citrus oil, it may cause photosensitivity when exposed to sunlight within 12+ hours of use. Use at night, or only on unexposed skin to avoid a reaction. Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitization. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose. Not all oils are created equal, so test brands carefully, and never use an oil in a way not recommended by its maker.

Popular Uses of Wild Orange Essential Oil

  • Use in an all-purpose spray to cleanse and purify surfaces.

  • Add a drop to your water every day for a burst of flavor and to promote overall health.

  • Diffuse to uplift mood and energy levels and to freshen the air.

  • Energize the mind and body. Dispense one to two drops in the palm of your hand along with equal parts Peppermint and Frankincense. Rub palms together and inhale deeply from palms, then rub on the back of neck.

  • Use topically over the solar plexus and lower abdomen each day, or before situations that cause self-doubt.

  • Add a drop to a shirt collar, rub through the hair, or inhale from cupped hands in times of fear, doubt, or anxiety.
